Auction Integration

Gainsboroughs integrates advisory, and lending oversight with the structure and timing of the auction market, allowing artworks to be managed, financed, and brought to sale in a coordinated manner.

Auction Finance

Rather than treating lending and sale as separate activities, capital can be introduced to support the positioning of the artwork from initial assessment through to eventual realisation where required.

Consignment Bridging

Where a sale is anticipated, capital may be provided in advance, allowing decisions relating to auction house selection, timing, and catalogue placement to be made without constraint. This ensures that the art is brought to market under appropriate conditions, aligned to demand and sale calendars. Advisory oversight extends to estimate positioning, negotiation of terms, and overall sale strategy, ensuring that presentation within the auction environment reflects the standing of your art.

Acquisition Bridging

Where acquisition is the objective, capital may be arranged against a target work, enabling participation in auction or private sale with clarity and speed. Following sale, facilities may extend through to settlement, maintaining continuity of liquidity without disruption to the agreed process.

Auction Guarantees

Third-party auction guarantees benefit consignors by providing a guaranteed minimum sale price and eliminating the risk of an artwork failing to sell ("buying in"), while still allowing consignors to participate in potential upside profits if the hammer price exceeds the guaranteed amount.

Oversight

Throughout, oversight is maintained by a dedicated account manager, ensuring that both the art and the associated lending remain aligned to market conditions and your objectives. This integrated approach allows advisory, capital, and market participation to operate as a single, continuous framework rather than as separate transactions.
